Floating Faces

The first Floating Face debuted at Blue Dot Festival. Also shown here at and Northern Lights Festival, Stalybridge.

Below is the clay mould and the raw fibreglass shell. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to make such a large sculpture and to have time to experiment with resins and releasing methods. After some trial and error I found that I could make the face remarkably thin, about 2mm.
